• Has your insurance been arranged?

BEFORE YOU GO

• Newspaper delivery?
• Telephone?
• Gas and Electricity?
• Water?
• M-Net?

HAVE YOU GIVEN NOTIFICATION OF YOUR CHANGE OF ADDRESS TO:

(Try to give 30 days notice in each case)

• The Post Office for re-direction of mail and transfer of radio and TV licence?
• Your Bank to transfer your account?
• The Electoral Officer?
• The Receiver of Revenue re. Income Tax?
• Your Motor Licensing authority?
• Your Hire Purchase suppliers?
• Your Insurance company?
• Your Life Assurance companies?
• The principal of your childrens school and received a letter from him regarding the status of your children in school?
• The Municipality re. rates?
• Lodges, Clubs and Benefit Societies?
• Publications to which you subscribe?
• Stores where you have charge accounts?
• Relatives, friends and regular correspondents?
• Your solicitors?
• Your Church?

HAVE YOU ALSO:

• Defrosted your refrigerator?
• Had your outside radio and TV aerial taken down and dismantled by a qualified technician?
• Secured the drum of your automatic washing machine? (please consult the agent as damage may occur if this is not done.)
• Arranged your stove disconnection?
• Arranged disposal of your unwanted furniture?
• Disposed of items no longer required by yourself?
• Disposed of old medicine bottles and old medicines.
• Tightened the lids on all jars?
• Returned any borrowed items?
• Requested medical services in the town of destination?
• Drained the fuel from lamps, lawn mowers primus stoves?
• Put aside valuable items, money and documents?

NOW, ONE LAST LOOK AROUND:

• Are all the rooms and outhouses empty?
• Nothing remains at the dry cleaners, shoemakers, schools, sports clubs?
• All taps switched off?
• Light switches turned off?
• Gas taps turned off?
• Windows and doors secured?
• Spare keys left behind?

AND NOW?

• Say goodbye to the neighbours.
• Have your new home cleaned before the new furniture arrives.

WHEN YOU HAVE SETTLED IN YOUR NEW HOME:

• Please write and tell EXECU-MOVE about the removal day.
